Yay for Successful Weekend!!

I love the weekends! I get to spend time with Muffin! We went to eat with some friends from church Friday night that we hadn't seen in a while. On Saturday morning we did the pool thing. Miss cranky gets nasty right at 2 hours after being there. She again fell asleep before we left the parking lot. At this rate my tan is going to be slow coming! Brandon and I took a nap while Libby napped. We went to Walgreens, Jimmy Johns, Orange Leaf then Shilito Park. Brandon put Libby to bed and went to a movie with a friend while I read a book, and caught up on some dvrs. On Sunday I visited my old church to attend a wedding shower afterward. We then finally got in Libby's 1 year pics! Woohoo...it's complete! Libby was a stinker and didn't want to be still even for a second so who knows if we will get any of her looking at the camera or not. When she looked at the camera she was stick her finger in her mouth. Figures. At one point she was insisting on petting a bumble bee while my husband was running for dear life from the bee. Typical day with the Cecil Family.
I spent some time yesterday coupon clipping and writing out a list of good purchases after looking at the ads from the paper. Couponing is not only a great way to keep me at home with Libby but it has also become fun for the whole family. Brandon has twice this weekend taken a pampers wipes coupon to Kroger (they double .50 and under). He came back home with the coupon on both occasions. He cracks me up! He excitedly told me the story of how both times he went through U-scan and waited until the cashier was not at the stand or was distracted and snuck the coupon back in to his pocket. He was so proud of himself. I am all about saving money but I think it is hilarious how he had a plan in place to keep his 50 cent coupon. It made his day! I think he is taking it to the next level but gotta love him for it! Saving money is fun and I appreciate the fact that he likes it to even though he may not go about it the best way. For all you moms with babes in diapers-Rite Aid has an awesome deal. Pampers are on sale for $8.97 with your scan card. I used $1.50 coupon and earned $2 off any purchase next time. It's like paying $5.47. Thinking of going and getting another pack! Children's tylenol and motrin are buy one get one free. Typically drug stores are more expensive than places like Walmart, Target, Meijer, but they can have some awesome deals. You just have to watch their ads and combine with coupons. I love the fact that Rite-Aid has the scan card that you can earn money off future purchases as well as discounts on perscriptions and Rite-Aid brand products.
Don't have any fabulous plans this week. Next Monday I have my glucose test and next Tuesday I am hosting a 31 gifts party. Looking forward to both!!
