First I have to share about a frugal shopping trip I took on Thursday of last week. I went to Target with coupons in hand and ready to go. I saw in an ad that cat liter was advertised that if you purchased 2 of the big 35 pound boxes you got a free $5 giftcard to be used anytime. Great deal because we always need cat liter and I just so happened to have a coupon for $1.10 off which made it an even better deal. I purchased two 35 pound boxes of cat liter( $1.10 off coupon), 2 degree men's deodrants for Brandon ($1 off coupon), a spray can of sunscreen (.50 coupon), 2 boxes of nutri-grain bars($1 off coupon), a 2 pack of air wick refills ($1 off coupon), a air wick plug in (free with coupon), dove shampoo and dove conditioner ($2 off coupon), Libby a shirt (on clearance with an extra 30% off making in $1.12). I think that was it, I may have purchased one other thing but it ended up being $48 before tax! And I already am saving $5 off my next purchase. yay!! Then I headed to Clothes Mentor for maternity clothes. I didn't find much but I did find a pair of kacki capris for $6 and a v neck short sleeve shirt for $6. Can't beat a $12 outfit! Then I went to the mall to look for more maternity clothes. I picked up a couple tanks at Motherhood Maternity for $7.50 each. I really despise shopping there because I think they are over priced and the sales clerk stalks you. It never fails. They call me by name and I don't go there very much! Scary!!! I guess it is where I was just there buying clothes for Libby so they have seen me a handful of times the past 2 years. I just feel like there aren't a lot of options for maternity clothes. I need to come up with a maternity line that is cute and reasonably priced. I stopped in baby gap to look at clearance and no luck. I then headed down to Children's Place. They had footie pajamas (that's all I put Libby in cause she kicks the blanket off and I am always afraid she will get cold at night) on clearance for $5. I picked up two pair in 18 months for Libby for when she grows into them. I get them to the register and they rang up $3.50 each. Seriously? So I picked up two more in size 24 months. You really can't beat it! It was a successful frugal trip I would say!
This weekend was great! Brandon mowed while Libby played in her pool. After lunch we went looking for yard sales since the neighborhood was having one. We couldn't find one. haha. Who has a neighborhood yard sale and no yard sales? I guess this one! After nap we had some friends over for a cookout. Libby and Addyson enjoyed more pool time! They had so much fun! Sunday was a blur as always. We stayed after church for a membership lunch and when we got home Libby was up from her nap and ready to go. Then came the rain....booo.... We did get a visit from Gigi and Papaw and then my friend came in town and stayed the night. Before we knew it, the day and weekend were over.
No new news on the pregnancy side. I'm continuing to gain and that's about all to report. She is moving all the time. Will be 26 weeks on Thursday. Hope to purchase some furniture and bedding within the next few weeks!!
